What We Do
Good Vibrations Records seeks out talented artists with positive messages of healing and growth and provides a complete production pipeline from writing to mastering and distribution. We believe music is powerful and essential to our mental and spiritual well-being as we navigate a tumultuous world. We have experience in many genres including but not limited to: folk, indigenous, ceremonial, Kirtan, meditative, spiritual, and healing music. We have a carefully cultivated collection of high-end microphones, preamps, and compressors in an intimate, acoustically treated environment. Our room is thoughtfully designed to foster an environment that invites spirit into the recording process and feels like a home to our artists. We do not have set rates but rather prefer to work with artists to find an arrangement that makes it possible for them to work with us. We value reciprocity and look for creative ways to make this work possible. Profit is not a motivator, we appreciate clients who are honest about their means and pay what they can to keep the lights on and the music flowing, from which we all benefit. If you have material written we can produce it. If you have ideas, we can help write and compose. And when your project is complete, we'll asist in distributing it. We look forward to assisting you in bringing your light to the world through music and we're thrilled to help with every stage of the process.
Recording Sessions
We have a carefully cultivated collection of high-end and boutique microphones, preamps, compressors, and monitors in an acoustically treated environment. Our room is thoughtfully designed to foster an environment that invites spirit into the recording process. Large-scale studios can feel intimidating and induce pressure. We want you to feel like you're with friends and feel at home so you can express your most authentic work.
Tracking, Mixing & Mastering
We guide the production process through writing, composition, tracking, production, mixing, and mastering phases for your creation. Wherever you already are in the pipeline, we can meet you there. And we're happy to work with other studios, engineers and producers.
Music Production & Composition
We have decades of experience in a wide variety of music styles from around the world. Given a raw song we can help produce a fully-formed work that carries your vision to fruition. Our lead engineer/producer Daniel Rushton has worked in many genres over the years including: country, rock, folk, synth-pop, indie-pop, jazz, classical, rap, house/trance/EDM, eastern Kirtan, choral, cinematic scoring, and sound therapy. If you bring a simple guitar song and vocal/lyrics Daniel can design the rest of the ensemble in his head and lay down supporting tracks to turn a simple song into completed work. Artists are encouraged to participate in this process as much as possible. We're here to fill in any pieces that are missing but creative control always belongs to the artist.
